The present study delves into the existing literature on disability and development available at international level in understanding the inclusion/exclusion of certain local rationale in formulation of these very concepts. The existing and available secondary resources literature have been explored and analysed. There have been gaps in understanding of these concepts at Global North and Global South level. In addition it has investigated the modern measuring parameter of disability at international forum, national and local level which brought new insights at epistemological level.
