Dataset corresponding to the article "From the Reef to the Ocean: Revealing the Acoustic Range of the Biophony of a Coral Reef (Moorea Island, French Polynesia)". 90 sites were recorded from the reef crest to 10 km in the open ocean off Moorea Island (French Polynesia) in 2016. Recordings were realized with drifting antennas made of a floater and an autonomous recorder EA-SDA14 (RTSys®, Caudan, France) connected to a wideband low-noise hydrophone HTI-92 (High Tech Inc., Long Beach, MS, USA) with a sensitivity of −155 ± 3 dB re 1 V µPa−1 and a flat frequency response from 2 Hz to 50 kHz
