The main purpose of this study is to discuss and analyze issues related to hypoxia. Hypoxia is one of the means to enhance functional capacities in athletes. It helps to optimize adaptive processes, speed recovery, increase work capacity, increase external respiration and oxygen volume in the lungs, increase heart mass, overall heart strength and energy supply. Based on the practical experience of leading specialists from different countries of the world, recommendations for athletes’ training in high- and medium-mountainous areas have been developed.The Conference is organized by the Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of the Georgian State Teaching University of Physical Education and Sports
