Objectives. Healthcare-associated pneumonia develops in patients undergoing regular medical procedures or has a longterm contact with the hospital environment. Several studies have shown important differences in healthcare-associated pneumonia, comparing to other forms of nosocomial pneumonia. The aim of the study is to evaluate the etiological features and antibiotical resistance in patients with healthcare-associated pneumonia, treated in a tertial hospital. Material and methods. A total of 158 patients were analyzed: 52 patients with healthcare-associated pneumonia, 58 with hospital-acquired pneumonia and ventilator-associated pneumonia, and 48 patients with severe community-acquired pneumonia.
