In this paper we consider a mathematical model which describes a quasistatic process for a viscoelastic body in contact with an obstacle or a foundation. The variational formulation of the problem is in the form of a system coupling a nonlinear integral equation with a history-dependent hemivariational inequality. We establish a fully discrete scheme of the abstract problem and derive a result on error estimate
