The position of women, especially from the marginalised groups, is very vulnerable in the context of the shift in the social development strategy. The process of empowerment aims to improve the decision making capacity of women folk. Their participation of in developmental activities can be ensured by educating them in a proper way. Kudumbashree, a women empowerment programme of the government of Kerala is actively engaged in the process of women empowerment.
