ABSTRACT This paper deals with a fuzzy linear programming problem where the fuzzy coefficient involves only in the objective function. The procedure starts with the construction of the penalty function in such a way that the equilibrium point converges to the solution of the fuzzy linear programming problem. The use of the fuzzy norm which was introduced and dealt in Effati is manipulated. The efficiency and importance of the method are shown with the compromise example of a fuzzy shortest path problem
