The present study was conducted to find out the effectiveness of planned teaching programme (PTP) on prevention of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) among antenatal mothers in selected PHCs at Mangalore. The purpose of this study to educate the antenatal mothers to take care of themselves at home and day to day activities to maintain stranger vigilance for early signs of GDM and its complications and seek medical aid immediately.
