Hobby Gardens Concept Approach for Agrotourism; Example of Yalvaç Kizilca Locality in Isparta

Especially "hobby gardens" have started to gain importance in urban areas and their surroundings, both as a production of agricultural and food products and as a tourism and recreational activity. A multi-purpose hobby garden can be defined as an urban agricultural activity area for the purpose of integrating with nature, resting, having fun, acquiring plant culture, establishing social communication, making plant and animal production, producing and selling local organic food, and making use of their spare time. . Although Isparta Province and Yalvaç Region have an important potential in terms of agrotourism, there is no place with a hobby garden concept for this purpose. The aim of this study is to develop the design principles and concept of a hobby garden for agricultural tourism in an area in Yalvaç district of Isparta. While creating a hobby garden concept for agrotourism in the Kızılca Mevkii of Yalvaç City in Isparta, it was designed not only as a recreational activity involving the production of vegetables-fruits, aromatic and medicinal plants, but also to provide multi-purpose added value, especially agricultural tourism. The designed concept has been turned into an important visitor attraction center with its multi-purpose functions (hobby garden, ecological production workshop and sales place, cafe, glass greenhouse, poultry house, parking lot, etc.).
