QUELQUES OBSERVATIONS SUR LES PREFACES DE DICTIONNAIRES ACADEMIQUES : LA 9E EDITION DU DICTIONNAIRE DE L'ACADEMIE FRANÇAISE ET LA DERNIERE EDITION DU DICTIONNAIRE DE L'ACADEMIE ROUMAINE

The author proposes to highlight the orientations present in two Prefaces of fundamental works of the French and Romanian languages, published by their respective Academies. A comparative approach to these two works testifies to a normative position and a will to maintain linguistic correctness. It also allows to specify lexical enrichment methods, during the contemporary period. Dictionaries – that have always recorded new words, concepts and ideas – have adapted to various changes, in order to maintain language renewal capacities. The objective is to show the contribution of lexicography as well as its link with lexicology and to underline the importance of their use and their consultation in language learning, in a world in constant evolution, in particular in the 21st century
