The polymeric chelator has been shown to bind a representative actinide, ThIV, quantitatively at pH 3.0. Its utility in extraction of metal ion from its aqueous solution is demonstrated. This recyclable polymeric chelator has potential use in nuclear waste remediation since it contains plutonophile HOPO ligands
