New Paradigm of Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) As an Effort ToCombat Sea Piracy

The writing of this scientific article is the result of an elaboration of studies; The Sociological Review of Sea Piracy Lecture and the 2020 National Maritime Day Commemoration Webinar in which the author participated. This scientific article uses a qualitative-descriptive method. To maintain focus in this scientific work, this paper is based on the Hierarchy of Needs Theory put forward by Maslow and the New Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) Paradigm Concept put forward by Octavian (2020). The author wants to describe that the New Paradigm of Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) can be proclaimed as an effort to minimize crimes committed. The key question to be answered in this article is how the New Paradigm of Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) can eradicate sea piracy crime
