The writing of this scientific article is the result of an elaboration of studies; The Sociological Review of Sea Piracy Lecture and the 2020 National Maritime Day Commemoration Webinar in which the author participated. This scientific article uses a qualitative-descriptive method. To maintain focus in this scientific work, this paper is based on the Hierarchy of Needs Theory put forward by Maslow and the New Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) Paradigm Concept put forward by Octavian (2020).
