Ukrainian institute of post-graduate study of PCLA of Ukrainian SSR: from the history of creation and activity.

In the article, the activity of the Ukrainian Institute of Post-Graduate Study of the PCLA (UIPGS PCLA) in Kharkiv, which was created in accordance with the decision of the Presidium of the All-Union Academy of Agricultural Sciences named after Lenin in July 1930, is hashighlighted by the method of historical-scientifi c analysis. During its existence till July 1931 it coordinated and trained specialists in higher qualifi cations through departments in Kyiv and Odesa for the needs of research institutions and universities, based, fi rst of all, on the principles of Marxism-Leninism, and then on the basis of the study of the latest industry knowledge. Based on previously inaccessible archival documents, which until now weren’t the subject of study of researchers, for the fi rst time the main points on the work of UIPGS PCLA of the Ukrainian SSR has reconsidered. During the research, it was found, that at the initial stage due organizational and fi nancia problemsl, as well as interdepartmental problems UIPGS PCLA of the Ukrainian SSR was not fully able to fulfi ll its own functions. It was proved that a number of socio-political problems of the time associated with the fi rst lawsuits, the failure of the fi rst fi ve-year plan for the development of the national economy, the rejection of the majority of post-graduate students of knowledge of the theory and practice of leading professors etc., thateventually led to the elimination of this institutions
