Taurodontism is a rare dental anomaly in which the involved tooth has an enlarged and elongated body and pulp chamber with apical displacement of the pulpal floor. It is characterized by a deficiency in the constriction at the cemento enamel junction, with lengthened pulp chambers and apical displacement of the pulpal floor and gives the tooth a quadrilateral or cylindrical look. Taurodontism can also be seen in both the permanent and deciduous dentition, unilaterally or bilaterally and in any combination of teeth or quadrants. It can be association with several syndromes and abnormalities.
