Objective: To determine the frequency of Vitamin D deficiency in pregnant women visiting a tertiary care facility. Material and Methods: This cross sectional study was conducted in duration of six months from 01-01-2017 to 30-06-2017 at Shaikh Zaid Women Hospital Larkana taking116 patients of age 16-845 years, having alive singleton pregnancy, any gestational age and having proximal muscle weakness bone tenderness were consecutively selected. Patients with chronic renal and cirrhosis, taking medications like anticonvulsant or Glucocorticoids, vitamin D replacement therapy or having a history of osteomalaciawere excluded.
