Durability of concrete is defined as its ability to resist weathering action, chemical attack, abrasion or any other process of detorioration. It also includes the effects of quality and serviceability of concrete when exposed to sulphate and chloride attacks. It is the material of choice where strength, durability, impermeability, fire resistance and abrasion resistance are required.
