This document consists the deliverable D1.3, which describes the MAS4AI architecture that serves as the foundation for future work in the project. The architecture is synchronized with the reference architecture for Industry 4.0 (RAMI4.0) and considers other generic digital reference architectures. Furthermore, design principles for the MAS architecture in the manufacturing domain are given. In order to make the MAS4AI MAS architecture applicable to a large variety of manufacturing scenarios, it uses the concept of Holons as an abstraction to group multiple agents and to coordinate both control and information flow.
