Wind power is the most reliable and developed renewable energy source. This paper gives a study on power flow control of a grid connected Doubly Fed Induction Generator DFIG wind turbine. Doubly Fed Induction Generator DFIG has widely used for large wind farms. A back to back converter is incorporated between the stator and the rotor windings of a DFIG, in order to obtain variable speed operation. The controller design methodology is presented and active and reactive power is verified. The main objective of the paper is to control the flow of the active and reactive powers produced by the DFIG based wind energy conversion system.
