Interoperability as a service

As the use of digital research systems technology continues to grow and evolve, Research Organisations are increasingly struggling with issues of systems incompatibility and manual re-keying of information. As part of its work to build an integrated repository and digital preservation service, Jisc has built an interoperability infrastructure based on an open and extensible data model and service adaptors. This infrastructure already supports integrated workflows among a number of repositories, commercial CRISs and digital preservation services. In this talk, we will discuss how this framework could be offered as a service to institutions to provide workflow integration with other research systems and services, including those used to manage research grants and contracts, ethics, research impact and web content
