Different from the common feminist ideology, Dalit has made the ideology of women the subject of his poetry. The word 'Dalit' means 'minors of the soil', 'original inhabitants'. The differences between upper caste women and Dalit women in the context of Indian untouchability gave birth to a 'Dalit feminist politics of representation'.
