Since the data traffic is increasing day by day so there is a need of high capacity long distance optical links.As the data transmission increases over a long distance,signal gets deteriorated.This is because of the pulse widening known as dispersion and it should be compensated for better results.Different compensation techniques are available like FBG, EDC and DCF.
