Analysis of SEIR Model for Effectiveness of Religious Leaders on Non-Pharmaceutical and Pharmaceutical Interventions against Covid -19 Spread In Kenya

Abstract: This research analyses the effectiveness of religious leaders’ on adherence to pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical intervention measures to reduce COVID-19 spread in Kenya. Disease-free and endemic equilibrium was determined, and subsequently, the local and global stability was carried out. A SEIR compartmental model that considers the religious leaders was developed. The basic reproduction number ( ) was determined using the next-generation matrix method. Sensitivity analysis was done to determine which parameters have the most significant impact on the model. Religious leaders were found to have significant impact on curbing the Covid-19 pandemic.
