Arunachal Pradesh, a State in North Eastern India has approximately 80 per cent of the people residing in rural area and thus being a rural state, depends totally upon central assistance. There are various Centrally Sponsored Schemes like MGNREGA, IAY etc that are designed by the Government of India for alleviation of rural poverty and bring in development.
