Department of Chemistry, Bhagalpur College of Engineering, Bhagalpur Manuscript received 20 January 1981, revised 10 June 1982, accepted 28 December 1982 The values of mixture dielectric constant were calculated for different compositions of a few polar-polar homogeneous binary liquid systems by the application of the significant structure concept of Eyring and coworkers. It was shown that the concept predicted mixture dielectric constant, composition for maximum deviation from ideality and the excess dielectric constant quite satisfartorily for the systems considered by using only pure component data
