USE OF PROBIOTICS SUPPLEMENTS FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF CALCIUM OXALATE KIDNEY STONE.

Abstract: Background and Objectives:Calcium oxalate stones are triggered by too much oxalate in the urine.Basic aim of study is to analyze the use of probiotics supplements for the management of calcium oxalate kidney stones. Material and Methods:This cross sectional study was conducted at Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital,Sialkot during january 2019 to october 2019.This was basically a preliminary study which was conducted for the awareness of those patients who are suffering from kidney stones.Data was collected from 100 patients. Results:Not all research is in the support of benefit provided by these supplements, and it is important to be aware risks and benefits. In nephroiogy these supplements show potential benefits in treating kidney stones,uremia and urinary tract infection Conclusion:It is concluded that some evidence has supported the use of prebiotics ,probiotics or synbiotics especially for the treatment of diarrhea ,their use in other disease states is controversial .Special cautions needs to be exercised when using these supplements in immunocompromised and acutely ill, as serious and potentially fatal complications have recently been reporte
