The road to a successful introduction of vehicularcommunications has to pass through the analysis of potential security threats and the design of a robust security architecture able to cope with these threats. Broadcast communications are critically important, as many safety-related applications rely on single-hop beacon messages broadcast to neighbor vehicles.
