The exposition «Geographic and edafic variations of steppe vegetation of Ukraine» in Donetsk Botanical Gardens of the NAS of Ukraine represents different variations of petrophyte and psammophyte vegetation of the South-East of Ukraine. There are 208 plant species from 116 genera, 41 families. The created fragments of artificial plant communities reproduce floristic composition, structure, appearance, peculiarities of seasonal development of natural petrophyte and psammophyte plant communities. Some rare and endemic species are cultivated successfully in the artificial plant communities. The creation of phytocenotic expositions have some advantages for the native plant cultivation
