Parenting Styles As Perceived By Children And Their Relationship To Behavioral Problems During The Corona Pandemic (Covid 19)

This study aimed to reveal the impact of parenting styles on children's behavioral problems, especially in childhood during the Corona pandemic. The sample consisted of (300) children: (150) males and (150) females within the age (5-16) years from the city of Irbid. They were chosen randomly by distributing the questionnaires electronically via social media.To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used two measures: parenting styles and behavioral problems, following the correlational descriptive approach, and the statistical treatments of the data collected. The results indicated that there is an effect of parenting styles on the behavioral problems of children to a moderate degree, and the presence of an effect of parenting styles on behavioral problems of children due to the different methods of parenting styles and gender. The results also indicated that the most prominent behavioral problem resulting from the parenting styles for both sexes is the problem of lying, and the least prominent is the problem of aggressive behavior
