СТАНОВЛЕННЯ ТА РОЗВИТОК ФІЛОЛОГІЧНОЇ ОСВІТИ І НАУКИ В ГРЕЦІЇ

In the article is traced the becoming and development of philological education and science in Greece from time of antiquity to ΧVΙΙ century. It is found out, that in a classic epoch the ancient Greek philosophers were actively interested in the problems of the language phenomenon, dedicated whole treatises to the questions of language, studies in schools were conducted by the ancient Greek language that was native for students. It is well-proven, that the origin of new separate science – grammar, and appearance of the first printed grammar of the ancient Greek language of Dionysius the Thracian (in 100 B.C.) became the main achievement of Hellenism epoch. During a Hellenism and Byzantium epoch the ancient Greek language was used in an educational process, however not all students used it as native. It is found out, that even during Turkish enslavement, which lasted almost four centuries, Greeks fervently cared of maintenance of the mother tongue, further development of philological education and science
