The investigation of Telehealth Services Impact on Improving the Quality of Life for Elderly

This research delves into the dynamic world of telehealth services and its role in enriching the quality of life for the elderly populace classified as high-risk patients. The study revolves around understanding how telehealth services, utilizing advancements in digital technology and remote patient monitoring tools, can significantly contribute to bettering health outcomes and overall wellbeing for this vulnerable demographic. The purpose of the research is twofold. Firstly, it focuses on how telehealth services can promote autonomy and independence in elderly high-risk patients. This entails understanding the capabilities of telehealth in facilitating easier access to healthcare services, specifically for those who may have mobility issues or live in remote areas with limited access to healthcare facilities. Secondly, the study investigates the efficacy of telehealth services in managing chronic diseases, a prevalent issue among the elderly population. We look at how telehealth can contribute to reducing hospital admissions, readmissions, and emergency room visits, thereby potentially leading to a better quality of life. The research utilizes a blend of qualitative and quantitative methodologies to provide a comprehensive perspective. We assess patient satisfaction, patient-doctor communication quality, and health outcomes pre and post telehealth interventions. An essential aspect of the research also investigates the barriers faced by elderly high-risk patients in utilizing telehealth services.
