Romans 6:12-13 - Present Yourselves to God

In Chapter 10 of my book Dead Men Rising, I explain how Paul teaches believers to present their whole selves to God. Rather than teach that something inside us died, rather than teach that some "old man" inside us was crucified, Paul teaches the opposite. He teaches that just as we presented the parts of our human nature to sin, now we are to present those same sinful parts of our human nature to God so that they can be washed, healed, strengthened, and renewed by the Holy Spirit. This perspective maintains consistency with all that Paul taught in the previous eleven verses.
