Sangam hymns point to the rituals that supported the king in the monarchy. Sangam literature has been conveying to the world the various excellences and glories of the classical Tamils. The king has the authority to regulate the rights and duties of the citizens and it was the law that defines how the people should behave and what the punishment will be in case of violation. If the people of the world accept and follow the high standards of the ancient Tamil people who have followed in their lives, the present state of the law will become stronger.
