This report (D3.6) is a component of EU-PolarNet work package 3, which encompasses Infrastructures, Facilities and Data, and falls under task 3.2. The task objective is to consider joint programming of infrastructure to enable bigger and more complex science projects. Deliverable 3.6 considers gaps in current space technologies as part of the facilities, infrastructure and operations of European nations in the Polar Regions. This report follows directly from deliverable D3.3 which described the existing uses of space assets by European polar operators. A brief summary of these applications is provided in the first part of each section addressing satellite communications, navigation and remote sensing
