MACHINE LEARNING ALGORITHMS USED TO DETECT FAKE NEWS

Abstract Fake news has been there before the introduction of the Internet. The spreading of fake news will create a severe issue in the world. With the help of technology, information has changed from paper to online. Political people and traders are currently using social media to spread fake news, which will mislead the people and cause many problems in the countries. The purpose of establishing this paper is to detect whether the information is fake or authentic. We used three different machine learning algorithms to achieve this task: logistics regression, Support Vector classifier and Naïve-Bayes and many extraction methods to detect fake or real news.
