The experience of Church Apologetics in the Philosophical and Theological heritage of Priest Pavel Florensky

The article contains a brief overview of the activities and works of the priest Pavel Florensky, which are devoted to Christian church apologetics. It is noted that Florensky explained the dogmatic teaching of the Church as a spiritual experience recorded in theological concepts. Florensky called the dogma «a guide to eternal life». He very successfully compared the development of church dogmas with the introduction in mathematics of the «dogma» of irrational numbers. This made it possible to expand the horizon of scientific thinking and lead science to new discoveries. Attention is also drawn to Florensky's teaching on church worship as a necessary basis for human existence. The main conclusion is made that the works of Florensky awaken the thought, which at the same time is constantly turned to the Church and to the doctrine of the eternal salvation of man
