THE PROBLEM OF SPIRITUALITY IN THE MODERN WORLD

Spirituality is the inner world of man, the center of his intellectual and emotional-volitional forces in the unity of consciousness, self-consciousness, worldview and will. Spirituality objectifies its values in ideas, principles, norms, standards, actions of positive or negative social orientation, which are formed through the perception and evaluation of environmental phenomena. In the structure of spirituality it is expedient to distinguish between spirit and soul. As a complex phenomenon of human existence, spirituality covers its various spheres. Usually these areas are science, morality and art, because it is believed that a person who knows the world, creates artistic values and lives morally - thus has the features of spirituality. Prof. S. Krimsky notes that “spirituality includes three principles - cognitive, moral and aesthetic”. They correspond to the highest moral values - truth, goodness, beauty, as well as three types of spiritual creators: the one who knows (thinker, sage), the righteous (saint), the artist (poet, composer, etc.).
