LINGUISTIC AND CULTURAL FEATURES OF THE TRANSLATION OF METAPHORS

The study of the relationship between language and culture occupies one of the leading positions in modern linguistics, which is associated with the constant expansion of communication and interaction between different cultures. Linguocultural studies, which studies the relationship between language and culture, provides information about the linguistic landscape that reflects the expression of culture in the language and the thinking of the speakers. This article analyzes metaphors, which are one of the current problems in linguistics and translation studies, and the specifics of their translation. The article discusses the classifications of metaphors, as well as the problems of adequate translation of linguocultural features expressed in metaphors.
