Kemampuan Pemahaman Matematis Peserta Didik Pada Materi Persamaan Liniear Dua Variabel

The study aimed to determine the mathematical understanding abilities of high school (SMA) level students, especially in the matter of linear equations of two variables. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The samples taken were 40 students. The data obtained is in the form of the results of the mathematical understanding ability test instrument adopted from Sabri (2017), and documentation. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the mathematical understanding abilities of high school students in one of the Karawang areas. The results in this study are that the level of students in one of the high schools in the Karawang area can understand mathematics in the very low category of 3% with 1 student getting a score of 62.97. The mathematical understanding ability of students in one of the high schools in the Karawang area is at the moderate category level, but the level of mathematical understanding ability is very close to the low category, this is because there is a difference which is quite a small in the number of students who have these categories
