As part of the national monitoring plan for chemical contaminants and food safety, three trace metal elements (cadmium, lead and mercury) were quantified in the flesh of three species of fish (Scomber scombrus, Sardinella maderensis and Euthynnus alletteratus) before and after smoking.These fish, the most consumed by the Ivorian population, were selected by means of a survey carried out during the period from March 07 to May 04, 2019.
