Reproductive health is an ascending priority to the health policies of the Republic of Moldova. During the past 25 years, the Moldovan Government, in partnership with non-governmental organizations, has been respecting international commitments and has had substantial support from international organizations (OMF, UNFPA, UNICEF, USAID, IPPF etc.). Additionally, a series of reforms in health and education have been implemented and aimed at improving the reproductive health of the Moldavian population. The legislative basis was elaborated and approved by the Parliament, along with programs and strategies of reproductive health launched by the Ministry of Health.
