Prospects for the design of a development strategy in the field of «hospitality» in a Russian university.

Coronavirus pandemic and the period that followed it, connected with the withdrawal of foreign companies from the Russian market, made the existing uncertainty in the development of the hospitality industry even more profound. The authors propose to work out a strategy of development of hotel business training direction in Russian University as an answer to the situation. Despite the current difficulties with training personnel in the hospitality industry, determining the vector of development, identifying a strategy from the options available today and a clear and consistent plan can help overcome the uncertainties that have arisen. The article suggests using the existing experience in the development of foreign and Russian universities with an emphasis on practice-oriented studying, holding various events with hotel enterprises at the stages of training line employees and managers, including scientific events in order to bring the principles of training and development of staff in the hotel and in the university as close as possible. The result of the implementation of the strategy proposed by the authors should be a new competitive educational environment in which, as in a business incubator, universities and hotel enterprises will jointly train professionals for the industry with an emphasis on technologies and emotional intelligence. The main emphasis is proposed to be made on joint training of specialists for the hotel industry with employers on their request and with the help of those training methods and technologies that have been used for a long time in the training of employees in the hotel. At the same time, the example of Swiss schools using a copy strategy or a commutative one in the classification chosen by the authors will be taken as a basis
