The data from the Dampa Tiger Reserve (DTR) (23o20’ to 23o47’ N latitude and 92o15’ to 92o30’ E longitude) situated in the district of West Phaileng, Mizoram, NE India revealed the occurrence of 55 thrips species belonging to 3 families, 5 sub-families and 40 genera. All the fifty-five species with the exception of Nagathrips crenulatus were collected and recorded for the first time from the state of Mizoram. Among these, 28 species placed in 21 genera belong to the suborder Terebrantia while 27 species clubbed in 19 genera are tubuliferans.
