Unmet contraceptives need refer to women who expressed a desire to space or limit their family size but are not using any family planning method. Women with an unmet need for limiting are those who desire no additional children and who are not using any contraceptive method. Women with an unmet need for spacing are those who desire to postpone their next birth by a specified length of time and who are not using any contraceptive method. Family planning services have been integrated into primary health facilities, but unmet need for family planning continues to be on the increase.
