Reversible circuits are one promising direction withapplications in the field of low power design or quantumcomputation. However, no real design flow for this new kind ofcircuits exists so far. Significant contributions have been madein the literature towards the design of reversible logic gatestructures and arithmetic units, however, there are not manyefforts directed towards the design of reversible ALUs.
