Abstract The Internet of things (IoT) is a system of interconnected computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals or people that are provided with singular identifiers and the ability to transfer data over a network without need humantohuman or human to computer interaction. There are various consumer, commercial, industrial applications of IoT. In this study we have presented short survey of the most popular IoT software and hardware platforms available in market.
