ЗМІНА ПАРАДИГМИ ІСТОРИЧНОГО ПІЗНАННЯ В УМОВАХ ПОЛІКУЛЬТУРНОГО СУСПІЛЬСТВА

A problem of peaceful coexistence of different cultures is a necessary condition of peaceful development of civilization, its survival. The solution of this problem is impossible without the application of new scientific approaches and concepts. A special role in modern society formation is played by the historical cognition. The re-orientation of the study of history from «macro» to «micro-level» is an important step in the development of society. In such terms, every ethnic, cultural and religious group is perceived as equivalent and equal in rights. We have investigated the development of historical knowledge in the multicultural society. We’ve determined the role of historical knowledge in the multicultural coexistence; analyzed the methodological foundations of post-modern researches; defined modern historical concepts and their influence on the development and functioning of the multicultural society. History helps to solve complex tasks of contemporaneity: brings up tolerance, forms a personality which respects the rights and freedoms of other people and states. The confession of common in all mankind values that are life of a man and life of a nation (civilization) is an important aspect in methodological development of historical cognition. Historical knowledge forms the personality openness, understanding their “place in the world”. It induces to study cultural values of people, to understand and respect other people that have a significant contribution to the development of multicultural society. It owns the most ponderable mission — constructing a dialogue of cultures in order to create interethnic tolerance in mutual relationships
