La obra olvidada de Siro de Fez sobre los opistobranquios ibéricos

The forgotten work of Siro de Fez about Iberian opisthobranchs.—This article reviews a little known work about sacoglossans and nudibranchs from the Iberian coasts. Its author, Siro de Fez, a physician, spent several years of his life studying the opisthobranchs that inhabited the port of Valencia. His work was published after his death and nearly thirty years after the studies had been performed. In this paper, a list of the species discussed in the book is reported, by updating the nomenclature, and taxonomic comments are added for some species. We discuss the value of the work as the first catalog of Iberian opisthobranchs and its importance as a driver of the modern knowledge of opisthobranchs from Spanish coasts in the last forty years
