Water forms the life line in human life. Increase in population leads to the increase in requirement of water. There are various places in Maharashtra where water scarcity is being observed and few places where surplus water is available. Inter linking of water bodies deals with the transfer of water from surplus region to the deficient region. The present study specifically deals with transfer of water from Dhom dam near Mahabaleshwar, which comes under heavy rainfall region in Maharashtra state and another area is Ner reservoir in Satara district.
