Syrphophagus aphidivorus

Syrphophagus aphidivorus (Mayr, 1876) (Figs. 47–49) Material examined. Cacopsylla bidens from Pyrus communis, Zemun, 22.vii.2010. ex pupa 26.vii.2010. 1♀. Trophic status. Parasitoid or hyperparasitoid. Hosts. Agromyzidae, Aleyrodidae, Aphididae, Braconidae, Chamaemyiidae, Cynipidae, Psylloidea (Agonoscena targioni (Lichtenstein ), Heteropsylla cubana) (Noyes 2017). S. aphidivorus is mainly reared as a hyperparasitoid of aphids (Aphididae) and as primary parasitoid of jumping plant-lice (Zuparko 2015). Distribution. Widely distributed, Holarctic, India. Diagnosis. Body black with blue green reflections. Sculpture on scutellum less rough than sculpture on mesoscutellum. Mesotibia dark with bright top, less than half length. Flagellar segment 1 – 2 quite smaller than others, 6 usually slightly longer than wide. The specimens match the description published by Trjapitzin (1989) and Japoshvili (2007). Comments. In Serbia this species has been recorded from Lysiphlebus dissolutus Hal., Ephedrus lacertosus Hal., Aphidius medicaginis Marsh., A. ervi Hal., A. cardui Marsh., A. sonchi Marsh. (Boucek 1977). Here Syrphophagus aphidivorus is recorded in association with C. bidens for the first time (Table 2). Syrphophagus ariantes (Walker, 1837) (Figs. 50–53) Material examined. Cacopsylla pyri, from Pyrus communis Požarevac, 25.v.2007. ex pupa 30.v.2007. 3♀♀. Trioza cirsii Löw from Cirsium rivulare (Jacq.), Tara, Mitrovac, 25.ix.2007. ex pupa 02.xi.2007. 3 ♀. Trioza chrysantemi Löw sa Leucanthemum vulgare Linnaeus, Zlatar, 16.viii.2017. ex pupa 1♀. Trophic status. Parasitoid. Hosts. Triozidae (Trioza urticae) (Noyes 2017). Distribution. West Palearctic and Siberia. Diagnosis. Body bronze bluish green. Scutellum dark purple with green top. Clava not longer than last three flagellar segments, flagellar segments yellowish brown, clava darker. Mesotibia complety yellow, with weak darkness in the base, metatibia dark. Tegula dark. The specimens match the description published by Trjapitzin (1989) and Japoshvili (2007). Comments. New record for Serbia.
