50. Haemaphysalis formosensis Neumann, 1913b. An Oriental and Palearctic species whose adults and immature stages have been found on Artiodactyla: Cervidae and Suidae, Carnivora: Canidae, Lagomorpha: Leporidae, and Galliformes: Phasianidae; adults alone have been collected from Artiodactyla: Bovidae and Moschidae, Carnivora: Ursidae, Pholidota: Manidae, and Rodentia: Hystricidae and Muridae; immature stages have been recovered from Carnivora: Felidae, Herpestidae and Mustelidae, Chiroptera: Vespertilionidae, Scandentia: Tupaiidae, Charadriiformes: Scolopacidae, and Passeriformes: Corvidae, Muscicapidae and Turdidae (Guglielmone et al. 2014, Iwakami et al. 2014, Khatri-Chhetri et al. 2016, Kuo et al. 2017).
